wakati huo, kulikuweko na mjina kama The Flames, The Flaming Stars, The Sparks, The Experience,
Crimson Rage, Black Beatles, The JBs, na kadhalika.
awali Barkeys, Kilimanjaro Band awali The Revolutions, na kadhalika. Bahati
I remember those BOOGIE Days! It was sheer heaven on earth. Weekdays were for studying hard, and engaging in sports; and weekends were for the party-hearty of the boogie-woogie, involving the Shingaling, etc etc. Wow, those were the days! Shame on the damn politician who banned boogies. He should have sanctioned his daughter, ie stopped her from attending boogies, and NOT punished all other innocent and responsible youth who were having some HARMLESS fun, within decent time limits for students.
ReplyDeleteSAFARI TRIPPERS and RIFTERS were my favourite bands, among a few others.
Man-oh-man~ those were the days!
