    Hi, This is David from the Tanzania Heritage Project. I really love the Afro 70 Band and would love to have some more info on them. Are they or any of their members still playing? Did they ever release anything on vinyl, and if so, which label?

    thanks in advance for your help.

    By the way, I would be very interested to hear about anybody who still has vinyl records in Tanzania - I still collect records myself.

    AFRO70 RELEASED A NUMBER OF SONGS IN VINYL, AFTER ALL THAT WAS THE ONLY FORMAT THEY COULD RELEASE IN , I DONT KNOW OF ANY OF THE ORIGINAL MEMBERS WHO ARE STILL ACTIVELY PLAYING, BUT FOR SURE I KNOW SALIM WILLIS IS STILL PRACTISING HIS ELECTRIC GUITAR AT HOME

    I recently heard a Radio interview where FREEDOM BALISIDYA mentioned on the possibility to re-establish the AFRO 70 BAND!Should you contact the interview MASOUD MASOUD of TBC TAIFA RADIO station I believe you could get FREEDOM'S contacts and probably get more from him!
