Kasaloo Kyanga is no more. The great composer and singer died this morning Friday 9th September 2011, at Mwananyamala Hospital in Dar es Salaam. Kasaloo who had a twin brother Kyanga Songa (another great composer and singer),who died several years ago in Kenya will be remembered for his evergreen hit Kalubandika (Maquis Original) which became famous all over East Africa. A number of Kasaloo's compositions continue being performed by other musicians include a hit he composed with Tancut Almasi Orchestra, Masafa Marefu. With hits streaching almost thirty years, his voice will be missed in the music circles.
